Parish History
October 29, 1999 -- A very special thank you to Bishop David E. Foley, Bishop of
the Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama, for celebrating Mass on our 40th Anniversary as a
Parish here at Our Lady of Lourdes. Thank you also, to all past parishioners, pastors,
priests, and sisters who helped us reminisce about all of the wonderful things God
has blessed us with over these many years.
May 2, 1999 -- This October, parishioners (past and present), pastors, priests,
and sisters will pause to reflect on the blessing that Our Lord has granted us
through His Church and especially this parish.
The 40th Anniversary celebration of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church as a parish will
be held on Sunday, October 24th, 1999, at 4:00 pm. Bishop David E. Foley, Bishop of the
Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama will be the principal celebrant of the Mass this day to
commemorate our 40th Anniversary. Former Pastors, Priests, Sisters, Teachers and
Parishioners are invited to return to OLL to help us celebrate and remember and enjoy the
past.
